Kick Start Garage's Power Lounge

This stoy is a fun one, Bud Ekins T100
I can start by saying one day in November 2018 the phone rang at the garage and I answered it like always do expecting to talk to someone about their motorcycle. On the other end of the line I met a fun loving character named Tiger Michiels, and he had a few qusetions for me! I kind of felt as though he was interviewing me or measuring me up with some of his questions. Soon he had me laughing as we compaired riding stories and talking about vintage bikes. Then came the real reason for the call: Tiger owns a special motorcycle and it has been sitting for a very long time and he would like Kick Start Garage to get it runnig for him! I asked Tiger what's special about this bike? His response was "Can I come to the garage and talk to you in person?" We met later that afternoon and he had a great story as he asked me the question have you heard of Bud Ekins? I said of course I have and excitedly asked him "Why?" That's when he let the cat out of the bag!
It turns out Tiger was a kid in the neighborhood in Hollywood hills where Bud lived, and hung out at Bud's shop and grew up around legends like Steve McQeen and Bud! Tiger remained close to Bud all along, until Buds death in October 2007. Tiger now owns Bud's race winning Triumph T100! How cool is that?!
My job now is to preserve the bike the way Tiger wants, and leave all the age and patina a it is while getting it running well, and returning it back to the way it looked when Bud won the Catalina Grand Prix two years in a row in 1955 and 1956. Please follow along this historical journey to get this legend up and running, and looking proper.
